Obama Campaign Update

The following reading was done to see what is going on with the campaign and to give advice to help the campaign.

The Current influence indicated by the 9 of wands shows that right now they are on the defense. The man in the card has created a wall of wands; this can be to protect himself. Is Obama trying to protect himself? The man is also hurt, Obama may be hurt (not physically) or the campaign is hurt. Right now is recovery time for the campaign. So this card would make sense and also show that they are defending attacks of the republicans while they recover and respond back.

What should be the focus of the campaign? The Hierophant is a clear card. What has been their man focus this whole time? Change from the current ways of politics. This card reflects that notion 100%. Going against the traditional / orthodox way of things is very clear here. I would also say that from this card if they want to try and make the other side look “bad” this card would tell them to focus on how McCain has been unwise, untruthful and importantly corrupt.

What can hurt the campaign? The Magician reversed shows me that if Obama is seen as a liar and that he trying to trick people and deceive them it will be so bad on his campaign. The more honest and the more he is on the straight and narrow the better. This is common sense and I like how the cards pick up on that. Also since this card is about communication, if Obama losses him communication abilities and losses connection with the people then that will also be bad.

What can help? The 6 of Swords is a great card that is reflecting the issue, the people in this card are in a boat and have 6 swords sticking in it. Now the mood of the card is somber but good. It shows transition. The issues and problems are not weighting the boat down. The same should be done in the campaign. They should not let anything that is being said weight them down. Don’t let it affect them. Just go through the waves and let it pass.

Obama Vs McCain

Barack Obama is now the democratic nominee and John McCain is the republic nominee for the 2008 presidential election. So for this reading I will be looking at Obama and McCain and what they bring to this election in terms of their personal qualities and what would help them win and who would most likely win.

1)    What qualities does Obama need to express more to better his chances at winning the election?

The Emperor reversed

For me seeing the emperor reversed means that Obama needs to express his change from the old administration that has been viewed by many people as a tyranny. Because the emperor is a card of authority, structure and order Obama should show himself as someone who does not think in those terms, he needs to express his reforms on the government structure and change the view that the USA is a tyranny and we try to rule over others. Logic and rationality are other key words to this card and I feel Obama should express that he is more open to ideas that may seem irrational in a sense, not saying they are irrational but people may think they are when they are not truly.

2) What qualities does McCain need to express more to better his chances at winning the election?

The Hierophant Reversed

This is somewhat the same as Obama but a little different. The Hierophant is about traditions, what is orthodox. He relates to groups and organizations. I feel that from the reversed card McCain should express that religion will be separate from his administration unlike the current administration. This card would also suggest that McCain should step out of traditional thinking of his political party. He needs to express what makes him stand out and what is unique to him over all others. It also is a sign of going against the current order and administration. McCain would do well if he expresses himself to be different and separate from the current order.

** Update** from the campaign we can clearly see McCain doing exactly as I said he should. He is taking the stand that he is about change and is different from the Bush Admin. McCain was all about his “experience” and now has left that behind and is using the “change” slogan that Obama is using.

3) Obama strength

5 of Swords

With the 5 of swords Obama will go and do battle, win or lose he wont fear. It shows that he can stand up on his own and take care of himself in this political blood thirsty environment. Obama has been attacked a lot in his campaign and this card shows he is in a environment of discord but is tough enough to battle on. He knows what battles to pick and when to speak.

4) Obama weakness

2 of Swords

Here with the 2 of swords Obama can become indecisive and unsure of what options to pick. He can tend to get stuck in the middle of a conflict. Often this card means you are ignoring the facts or what is in front of you. This can mean that Obama may at times ignore facts that in turn would hurt him. This would imply going on with faith so to speak over facts. Also I see the 2 of swords as blocking your emotions or hiding distress. This goes well with the 5 of swords, for he can deal with the stress but however he is deals in the wrong way.

5) McCain strengths

Oddly enough I think this card can mean that he would bring troops back home. This card is called from that means rest from fighting. Does that mean war would be coming to an end? It seems odd and the common view is that McCain would say in Iraq for another 100 years.

With McCain  I feel that financially he can’t help with the economy.

7) Would Obama win the election?

The World

The world card is a clear sign of yes. The world card is a sign of completion, victory and wholeness. You can also note that as president of the USA you are the most powerful person in the world. The world card is fitting for that role.

8) Would McCain will the election?

No I do not think McCain would win from this card. This is a card of suspension and readjustments. McCain may take his career in a new turn.

 

9) What role does Hillary play?

9 of cups Reversed

Some may be thinking she lost why care about her, well just for the fun of the reading I wanted to see what is going on with her in the election even though she lost. When I saw this card I feel like she is the unhappy spoiled child lol this is a card of getting your wish and being happy with everything, reversed and she is upset and stomping her feet going  I wanted to win! Even though she is supporting Obama she is doing it grudgingly.

*Update* 8/27/08 - I want to make an addition to the reading. Seeing how Hillary has endorsed Obama 100% how can this card (9 of cups reversed) fit in with her role? As I said she may be unhappy in that her wish was not granted, that she would win the nomination. She cannot express this, she can only support Obama. However you know what inside I bet you she still is. That is fine I would be to lol  Maybe the 9 f cups reversed can show that we need to hold back on our true desires and wishes for the better of others?

So it looks like Obama is going to win. In my past readings I was not sure on who would win, because his cards were vague. However now seeing the cards for Obama and McCain the winner is very clear so of now, Obama has "the world" card and he should be the winner. I will keep my readings put to date and see if any changes happen in the readings.

 

Another update for the next president of USA

After the last reading I did for Clinton and Obama I was some what confused from the cards. It looked as if both had cards said that neither would win. From current news everyone agrees that Obama will win the nomination for Clinton cannot get enougn votes. So from my last reading and my 1st response to the Chariot reversed was correct. However I can ingore the 9 of pentacles reversed that Obama got in the last reading. It makes me think that Obama wont win either, this leads me to think of McCain and that he will win. So I am going to let this reading play out some more and see if anything comes along to support it.

Clinton Obama update

Clinton

So Hillary won Texas, Ohio, Rhode Island. She still needs more wins to beat Obama. So I wanted to do a little reading as an update to what going on with Hillary and the possible outcome to her campaign. I also did the same for Obama to see what his side says about it.
Present state of emotions Page of pentacles reversed

This card could be showing that Hillary is having trouble communicating her feelings. Articulating words and putting together that best fits how she feels is a problem she could be facing. She is definitely exhausted from her campaign. It is not easy and it getting to her.
Present state of thinking Empress

Even though she is tiered from her work she still holds the creative power and force and still is performing well. She still has ideas for her campaign. As we saw from the 3 am Ad.

What she must overcome 10 of Wands Rx 

No matter how much effort and time and energy Hillary puts in she needs to understand that she might now win, she might not get the results she wants, that is reality. I would Love to see her win, but positive thinking only goes so far. Other than that, she should take some time to take a breather, rest just for a little bit, It will help.

Advice 4 of pentacles

Hillary needs to spend her money wisely; Campaigns call for a lot of money. She should not waste it. She needs to hold onto whatever she can get her hand on, support, endorsements anything, she needs to make sure her assets are secure.

Outcome of her campaign The Chariot RX

I fear this card as an outcome. I fear this to be a sign of failure. I hope she wins, but as of right now this card only shows me failure as her outcome. Comming very close to her goal but not enough to win. Since this card is reversed it adds complexity to the card. It could be saying she will win but she will have to question herself as to how she did win and was everything worth it all. Did the ends justify the means. Ethics can come into play this. Like she may have won but not fairly.

OBAMA

Present state of emotions 7 of Swords

He is being secretive about his emotions; He is acting Aloof. He may fear there is someone inside his campaign that’s working against him, like a spy type of thing.

Present state of thinking  Queen of Pentacles

He is being practical person, thinking in a business sense. He is being down to earth. He is thinking about matters on economic growth, healing (Health).

What he must overcome Ace of Cups Rx

Holding back his emotions, he is not showing any emotion as it may be a sign of weakness. Like Hillary he is also drained from his campaign and is an issue to overcome.  

Advice 4 of Swords Rx

O time for rest,  he is tiered, but from the advice it is not time to rest.

Outcome of his campaign - 9 of Pentacles Rx

Insecurity, I feel that after this campaign he is will out of money or low on it. I don’t feel like this is a win card, because I feel he won’t get a return on his investment.  This is a time for worry about money and personal security.

SUMMARY

Hillary has the Chariot reversed. I sign of faliure most of the time. Obama has not a so postive card but since the Chariot is a Major is has a more powerful energy around it.and this Hillary has a better chance at loseing then Obama. Obama has to worry about the lose of "investment" in him by the people.

Both Hillary and Obama are very tiered from their campaigns but Hillary can take a bit of a break, but Obama can’t. He would possibly hurt him.

*Update* Its funny. How I said Hillary could take a rest while Obama could not. Its because well Obama was gonna be the nominne and Hillary would lose and thus did not need to work so hard. lol
